Send a doula and midwife to school!

Getting an education in natural birth

NoVA Birth Network was started with the mission of building and supporting the natural birth community in Northern Virginia. As part of that mission, we have created a scholarship fund to help train doulas and midwives to help enhance our community.

"Money should not be a limiting factor for people who want to change the way the world births." - Monica Marusceac, Founder of NoVA Birth Network

Beginning in 2015, scholarship funds will be awarded once a year for midwives and doulas. Our goal is to grow the fund enough to award a doula scholarship each quarter. As long as we have sufficient funds, we will begin accepting applications in January 2015. We will spend most of 2014 collecting funds and working out the legal aspects of awarding scholarships.

"Midwives and doulas are the change-makers of the birthing world and I'm making it my mission to bring honest, caring childbirth to every mother. Mothers deserve respect, love and compassion during their pregnancies and births; doulas and midwives deliver." -Monica Marusceac, Founder of NoVA Birth Network

Please consider making a contribution today to support the NoVA Birth Network Doula and Midwife Scholarship fund! You can also sign up to receive information about the scholarship fund as it becomes available.
