NoVA-Class-Feb2014thumbNoVA Birth Network is proud to be bringing Jen Kamel, Founder/Director of VBAC Facts, to the DC metro area to present "The Truth About VBAC: History, Politics & Stats."

Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 23, 2014. Advance tickets are on sale now. The price goes up after January 25, so register today!

Did you know that even though "most" women with one prior cesarean and "some" women with two prior cesareans are candidates for vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) (ACOG, 2010), most VBACs are successful and 45% of women are interested in the option (Declercq, 2006), 92% of American women have a repeat cesarean (Osterman, 2011)? Help change the conventional wisdom.

Who should attend?

  • Everybody! Seriously, though, any woman who has had a cesarean, along with their spouse, partner, friends or family members;
  • Birth professionals such as doulas, childbirth educators and lactation consultants;
  • Medical professionals such as midwives, nurses, and obstetricians; and
  • Professionals with related interest, such as hospital administrators, lawyers, public health officials, journalists, academics, and researchers.

You can find out more about class and Jen Kamel on the registration page. Please contact us if you have any questions!
